The rail industry is one of the active areas of the MAPNA Group. The industry bears a great position due to Iran’s macro policies on developing railways

and because of its infrastructural importance. Cooperation in Qom Monorail project has been one of the activities of the Group in this field.

This is the only monorail project in the country that aims to develop modern urban transportation systems.

Sepahan MAPNA Engineering & Equipment Manufacturing Company has been given the task of designing and supplying two types of switches for the monorail project which makes the company the first to produce the equipment in West Asia.

Water and Desalination

Mainly having a hot and dry climate, Iran is always at the risk of drought and water shortages. Desalination and recycling are among the conventional measures in the process of supplying drinking water for urban and industrial use.

One of the methods for desalination of seawater, especially in the southern regions of Iran, is using desalination units besides thermal power plants to produce electricity and water; the method can significantly reduce desalination costs by reusing the energy losses of thermal power plants.

Accordingly, the MAPNA Group has been tasked with reusing thermal energy losses to desalinate seawater at the Qeshm Power plant on Qeshm Island.

The mission of designing, supplying, and installing MED desalination units – a thermal desalination system – has been given to Sepahan MAPNA Engineering & Equipment Manufacturing Company.

Enjoying the engineering know-how and infrastructure for designing, the company is capable of producing various efficient desalination units with different capacities.

The company is also capable of offering special services to high water-consuming industries, such as power plants and steel companies, to reduce their consumption through optimization of cooling systems as well as recirculation and reuse of wastewater

Sepahan MAPNA Engineering & Equipment Manufacturing Company is able to supply a significant section of equipment related to the steel and mining industry. Designing and producing vertical kilns for producing industrial lime (two shafts) with different capacities is among the productions of this company in this area.
